The student must me be taught to understand that they are in real combat, every move has purpose, this is not a dance. Like basics, each strike must be focused to a target. Every move counts and extreme emphasis at this level should be focused on powerful techniques vs. speed. A weak technique thrown quickly will end quickly and badly. Much emphasis is to be placed on completing the move in the proper stance no matter the speed. Speed will be taught and added as the student advances.
